A tip for better hdtv speaker sound output [Instructions] PC Gaming
I have a Sony hdtv and I am using the hdtv to output sound and I use tv speakers. I want to share a tip with everyone, and the tip will improve sound output of your hdtv speakers.

I notice my hdtv speakers does not have that much bass and it sounds ok and that is because that is just how hdtv speakers are so to improve the sound output I had to use a good eq. Here is how to improve the sound of your hdtv speakers output audio.

1. You should download this eq program which is called Peace EQ and to use it you will need to install the APO with the program called Equalizer APO, which you can get from here, Equalizer APO https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/, Peace EQ https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/.

2. You should install Equalizer APO first, then install Peace EQ after your audio device sound output is ready to use Peace EQ. You need to correctly install Equalizer APO for Peace EQ to work. After the program Equalizer APO is installed go to the directory which Equalizer APO is installed, open the folder called Volume Booster, open Configurator.exe, install the APO on your sound output device, it should be called default sound output. To make sure Peace EQ is working, start Peace EQ program after you install Equalizer APO, turn down the pre-amp which is on top of the gui in Peace EQ. Open sound options in control panel and click on your sound output device click test, your should hear normal volume sound, then turn up or down the pre-amp then test the sound again to see if Peace EQ is working. If it does not work go into the directory which you installed Equalizer APO and find the folder called Volume Booster, open the configurator which is called Configurator.exe and reinstall the APO.

3. The tip is to eq your sound output with Peace EQ and if you don't know how to eq, google it. I turned my bass eq frequencies down and it sounds great that way. You should google it everyone. And another tip is to change the Quality (Q) setting which will make your speakers audio much more soft and better. I set my Quality (Q) to 2 for pc gaming and it is awesome with my Sony hdtv.

This tip is very good for hdtv speakers and it will be good for pc gaming and your hdtv speakers will sound awesome.

That is the hdtv speaker tip and I hope everyone will have a good time using there hdtv speakers for pc gaming.

I think FxSound might be similar? Give that a try too.

FxSound is a eq program. It is kind of the same.

That's always been a problem, regardless of the speakers really. Is that your OS will be forcing a flat equalizer by default. Nothing new.

My Fix was getting an ONN 2.0 Soundbar for $17 on Clearance from $40 and using an Optical from it to the TV, which happened to come with the speaker. I even bought another one for future use cuz of how good it sounds :)

Even a cheap bluetooth/aux speaker will sound better than TV speakers. My PC already has like a 10 year old 5.1 system so the ONN speaker is used for smart TV apps like Netflix etc.

TV speakers are just there to act as something allowing you hear speech. It was never intended to give a good experience or provide any real bass.

My tv is a Sony hdtv and it does not sound that good at high volume while playing pc games. I used Peace EQ and the sound is good now. Ya tv speakers need some eq settings for it to sound good and I am really happy I made my hdtv speakers sound good for pc gaming. It sounds really good at high volume with my hdtv speakers tip.

My TV has an audio setting called Volume Leveling that made the sound a huge bit better even for a TV, but the ONN soundbar still sounds much better. As i said, PLENTY of cheap options to give you better sound than what the TV comes with.

Before i got the soundbar i was using 2 bluetooth speakers via an Aux cable/splitter which sounded pretty darn good, but the 120W peak soundbar is obviously much better and is actually Stereo.

So yeah, even a cheap bluetooth speaker will give better audio than a TVs speakers. I was just lucky to get 2 soundbars on clearance that does Aux/Bluetooth AND Optical, which it even comes with an optical cable.

Having a Bluetooth/Aux/Optical capable TV comes in handy too though

All Volume Leveling does is help equalize the audio playback as sometimes voice-over can get drowned out. That helps alleviate that issue. Because of this shows or movies with alot of dialog will sound as if to have an audible boost now. However things like movies and games that are action packed and such (shooting, explosions, space ships, modified cars/trucks) still will sound at the best those speakers can do, which is nothing short of awful at best.

Optical based SoundBar can be good, especially if it also has a separate sub-woofer to go with it. Definitely better then any low watt speakers and yet affordable if you can't go all out for decent 5.1 or 7.2

Well whatever it did it makes a big difference on the Netflix etc apps compared to how it sounded without it, like it actually made it louder and clearer, but obviously the soundbar sounds even better. Even a $10 Bluetooth speaker sounds better than what most TVs come with so it doesnt take much to get better sound, as long as you go with Aux or Optical though, bluetooth latency may show itself with cheaper stuff.

Ya a soundbar is a good speaker upgrade, they are speakers so the tip will work with it also. The Quality (Q) in Peace EQ setting works good at outputting the sound from your speakers and you should try it.

Generally noise leveling does stink when applied to all sorts of hardware, but in case you haven't noticed the windows sound enhancements "loudness equalization" feature is GREAT!!!!.

I'm telling you, I can watch movies and actually be comfortable. Every single time I do like a fresh format or do some crazy config change and that thing gets turned off and then I go to watch a movie, I'm sitting there grabbing the control because one moment some one's talking and then the next thing is a car crash and my ears are starting to ache it got so loud. I hate that junk. Never fails. Like every movie. That loudness equalization thing saved my life.

Yeah that is a must use setting for PCs, makes everything sound better and louder with a good setup. For my TV at least the TVs sound leveling setting basically does the same thing which actually improves how the TVs crappy speakers sound.

which is what i recommended people to enable in the product review i posted for the TV on Amazon. Makes quite the difference when using the TVs down firing speakers, which i no longer have to do using a soundbar.

I never have that issue on PCs cause I use SoundBlaster, not Realtek junk. SoundBlaster actually is ALOT louder by default without distortions unlike Realtek which sounds like mud and distorts like crazy. All the Realtek junk is CPU driven and has no Amp Boosting

I had a Sound Blaster sound card and it was good, and I am currently using a Realtek, Sound Blaster has a higher audio sample rate, Realtek is good also.
