Motherboard manufacturers using fragile Sata ports?
Is it me or are those single mounted Sata ports really fragile? Why do most Manufacturers use those instead of those sturdy ones that have 2 or 4 ports as one big piece of plastic?

I got a few used boards in the past years and at least one vertically mounted port was ripped off.

Now i'm looking at Asrock X670E Steel Legend, I think the sata ports are sideways mounted and I fear they rip off easily too.

Its the quality of everything going speedly down, specially of plastics.

I wish we got rid of plastic cups and straws, but still had good plastic when its needed.

If it's a used board, then you don't know what it went through.
Sounds to me like the OP needs to be more careful. Stop treating everything with clumsy bear claw hands.

i have never broken any sata ports, the single vertical ones can be more fragile, but they are not delicate, can take a decent bump and still be fine
use softer sata cables, or bend them into shape before plugging them in

It takes a lot of force to break SATA ports, so don't be so rough with them

Asrock has been known notoriously for having cheaper and thus lower quality components,
even on some of their "high-end" top tier motherboards.
However, it's debatable...
Many owners of Asrock motherboards do know to be that extra careful, as they know some boards aren't that robust.
Need to be careful with SATA ports and plugs, you can easily break the SATA port on SSD for instance if you use too much force. They are pretty damn flimsy.
Yes I would say they are much more fragile on the drive side then anything.
Not really so much on the Motherboard side.

Use 90-degree angled cables.
