Yes, 5 and a quarter inch Blue-Ray Burner. I rarely use it though.

I Have one in a fairly old laptop. It has ubuntu linux installed.

I also have a USB DVD reader/writer. I was very cheap from a charity shop. It is useful from time to time.

Yeah. I had it in my original build (2011), and transferred it over to the new build (2020) just in case & because I could. Haven't used it in years, though.

yes I wanted and needed one, I dont like those external dvd drives.
I had to go search for an older case to have those top spots for internal optical drive

Samsung Super writemaster Speedplus to run retail games....too bad most of these game got eaten by the mold. Lost S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of chernobyl, Farcry 2 and Gears of War for this mess. The only games would run on outdated system.

I have an external BR drive on my main rig, my 2nd rig is in an old skool case (SOLDAM XR-1) , and fortunately, it does have slots for an optical drive. I even have a couple of older, but still functional (I think) BR RW drives lying around. Will have to do something about this.....later.

I got a Fractal North case. (The one with the wood.) There are no exterior drive bays, and this is the first time I have had a desktop that lacked an optical drive.

I do still have some infrequent need to use an optical drive though. I plan to get an external USB drive for that purpose, but the pressure to do so thus far has been very minimal.

The only PC I own that actually has an optical drive now is a Windows 98 machine I maintain with a Voodoo card and a Pentium 233mmx. It has a 48x CD rom.

Yes. Even in numbers most of my games are still on a HDD and do not need a SSD.

Nope, But I made a external USB enclosure for a blueray drive, used an old sata to usb adapter, don't use it much, last time I used it was when I was backing up all my DVD's to my media server as we don't have DVD players in the house anymore.
