Drivers and compatibility with some games are not good enough imho. No guarantee that it would actually work properly with the game you want to play.
Better off going with AMD at this point since Nvidia 4000 series is generally crap with only few exceptions like RTX 4070 and RTX 4090.

capable at lowest res and settings, its version of hdr/vsr helps scale it up to a higher res, but still asking alot of the gpu

best used for video encoding/decoding for streaming
No. intel GPU isn't good for gaming. You want an actual GPU, RTX or AMD's GPU. GTX cards are just paperweight,

It seems the only Intel gpu worth something on the gaming end is the Arc A770. It's supposedly comparable to the rtx 3060 12 GB and the Radeon 6600xt.8 GB. By reading some reviews and comparisons, the a770 now sits in third place but "has earned its seat at the table" acc. to a recent eval.

Arc seems more reliant than the others with a feature called resizable bar which is also available for 10th gen Intel cpu/s and higher, also Ryzen 3000/5000 processors.

I can live without this feature myself. But it narrows the market for Intel.

for the igpu, it can help alot, but any dedicated gpu has its own vram with much faster access than system ram

and the igpu rendering at a much lower res and scaling it up does help alot with its performance, but making it suffer drastically from quality

just because it can hold 30fps when rendering at 480p scaled up to 1080p dpes not make as good as a 3060 actually rendering at 1080p

I don't care if it's from Team Blue, Team Red or even Team Green, I just want decent options at the USD$250 and below price points.

Given the recent price drops for GPUs such as AMD RX 6600, 6700, 6800... both non-XT and also XT varients... there is no need to look into those garbage Intel GPUs. They still have way too many Driver issues which is resulting in poor performance in tons of games and they also do not tend to be much good for Games that run older DirectX such as 9, 10, 11

Had an A770 for a while, drivers were terrible for most games, DX12 and Vulkan had the fewest problems. Worst case scenario, games played like this:

Or like this:

But there were games where Arc showed how good it COULD be.

AV1 encoding on Arc matched the hype tho
