Looking for an upgrade - LG v20 phone

Would like to have IR blaster, SD card, 3.5mm slot, removeable battery.

My USB port doesn't work, it's a PITA to carry an extra battery and it's realllly slow now, I can't even multitask anymore.

I don't need the latest and greatest. Just something a bit better

Phones don't offer replaceable battery for years now.
You use the phone til the battery no longer holds up, then replace the whole phone, which should easily last at least 3 years. Instead, you buy a decent power bank to carry around if on the go for most of the day, or more then one day. Most decent phones now has a 5000Mah battery inside, so buy a USB charging power bank that has at least 20k Mah

I just got a https://www.tomsguide.com/news/fairphone-4-is-coming-to-the-us-with-this-one-big-change and quite like it. Though even without Google's ♥♥♥♥, learning new Android version is pretty annoying. Am I wrong or does Android 12 only let you pin 4 shotcuts to the main screen quick bar? I can't find an option to shrink the icons.

No brand preference. Same screen size or similar. don't mind if it's a little smaller.

I doubt any phones have built in IR. But you might find one as a USB-C attachment.

They made geiger counter and OBD addons for phones now.
