edit. I think they're all wireless, but work fine tethered.

I would still recommend looking at Keychron though, they make some nice keyboards that hardly need any work to be as good as much more expensive custom boards.
I have owned wireless keyboards and mice in the past. What happens, typically, is the keyboard and/or mouse will give indication that it is running out of power by not logging all key strokes or mouse movement/clicks. In MMO's, this always seems to come at the worst possible time.
And this has also come at a time where I was not getting paid for another week so had to go without my keyboard for a week. That was torture for me.
So, I decided that wireless was out for me. The problems I am experiencing now could happen to a wired or wireless keyboard. These things are not designed to last for decades or even years. They wear out and finally fail.
I did just get off of chat with Logitech to find out if I could pay them to repair my keyboard. Weirdly, they said no. I would have thought that if a customer was willing to pay $200 for what would probably be $20 in parts and maybe a couple hours in labor (if that) they would be willing. But, nope.
I did look at the keyboards recommended above. I know and understand that the LCD screen is probably out. It was a novelty that really wasn't practical. All the LCD did was show things like remaining ammunition or some other bit of info. It was typically easier to look at the computer screen to get that information rather than take your eyes off the monitor to look down at your keyboard to see how much ammo you had left. But I liked the feature even if I rarely used it. It was fun to have and really was there for bragging rights more than anything else. Bragging rights are a major part of being a PC gamer!
I can live without the LCD screen. It was last on my list. The programmable Gkeys were nice, but again, more of a novelty than anything else. The only thing I ever used them for was when I made macro's in MMO games I played that allowed macro's. (SWG would be an example of one)
So that really boils down to a full size wired keyboard. It would be nice if it had a back light and media control keys on the keyboard (play, pause, volume up/down). Being full size means it is going to have a number pad on the side. I still play some games that use the number pad for movement. (Sid Meier's Pirates as an example)
Again, I thank you for your help. If you can recommend some place in the U.S. that would be willing to repair the keyboard and is willing to work with out of state customers, that would be great too.
They have different switch options, red switches are a common popular switch for gamers, blues are good for typing, and browns are in the middle

You can't pause MMO's. Some MMO's will minimize if you click on something on your second monitor.
I love to play games, both MMO's and single player, with a movie, YouTube, or my own music going. There are times that I need to hear the in game dialogue to know what is going on or talk to guild mates on our raid. I know they don't want to also hear what I am listening to when I talk. That is why the media keys are pretty important to me.
Also, I am taking another look at the keyboards you are recommending via the link. They look like good keyboards. I will check on the reviews of the keyboards themselves and the company.
Than you.
Could maybe afford both right now too.
I'm running with the G600 now. It has seen better days but the damn thing will not die. The macro keys on the side of the mouse are not the best configuration, for me at least. I tried it once and end up up getting confused on what key was what, they are all placed so close together.
I am also really confused on what the 3rd mouse button is for. It has the standard left and right. But next to the right is a third mouse button. But it doesn't seem to do anything. The Logitech software that you can get off the website doesn't give you any options for it. Hell, it doesn't even make mention of the 3rd mouse button.
That is a bit out of my price range. $300 and I could buy the G510s. Amazon has that keyboard at $289.00
AZIO retro classic is also overpriced junk with low quality switches, keychron options are a lot cheaper while being better quality
This is actually not bad.
Thank you
