Help regarding Steam stuck on Extracting Package, eternally loading.
Hey, so I’m attempting to run steam on my laptop. Tested my internet, everything is fine. I’ve cleared the download cache. I’ve reset my router. I’ve restarted both steam and my computer multiple times. I have basically tried every single fix I have seen on the internet, which is a lot. I’m just lost, and my dream game is purchased and waiting for download but I cannot even open Steam, when its run perfectly fine before.

One of the things about this is possible network framework 4.5 not installed? are there updates from store...

OS system in use? Do not have to share a thing just question yourself.
Is there a possible run as admin yet have still not clicked on since it is being blocked by some software.
Is there run in admin from a RUN CTRL+ SHFT press ENTR?

did you get this from steampowered website or an old saved version?

Is this a trick question?

No, genuine question.
What is network framework 4.5?

Also, current OS is Windows 10 I believe.

Steampowered website.

Do a Steam Repair.

Go to your Steam folder.
Delete everything in that folder EXCEPT for the following...

Steam.exe (application)
DepotCache (folder)
SteamApps (folder)
UserData (folder)

^ Leave these folders and sub-folders alone.

The rest should be gone.

Then right click Steam.exe > Run as Admin

Now it download fresh Steam without any previous files getting in the way.

I actually do this "repair" method about once every 3-6 months just to clear alot of junk from the Steam folder. Quite effective.

Games are in SteamApps folder; so yea like I said already... dont delete that.
