What is the WD Black/Blue equivalent in Seagate world ?
Following WD Black, Red, etc... What is the "Preformance" (WD Black/Caviar Black) and "General usage" (WD blue) seagate hard drives ? Do they have such naming ?

wd coloring
reds are for nas drives, low power, with good sequencial read/write performance
blues are good for internal general use
blacks are good for gaming, higher density for faster read/writes
greens are low power, slow rpm, good for external usb/sata enclosures

seagate baracuda falls in the blue catagory

Seagate has many drives too; but their brand new naming scheme is user friendly too.

Desktop SSHD (SSD+HDD Hybrid)
Desktop HDD (old name would be Barracuda)
NAS HDD
Surveillance HDD
Enterprise HDD

They are currently fading out all those old/odd names with easy to identify ones that make sense. So if u are seeing any Barracuda, Momentus; these drive models are now old and are being replaced as we speak.

So "Desktop HDD " is going to be pretty much a WD Blue competed hard drive?

On investigation it seems it doesn't even have a 3 year warrant (WD Blue) much less a WD Black 5.
