PS4 Controller causes issues with keyboard/mouse.

Hello, i have a problem with my ps4 controller, never seen anything like this before.

When i plug my ps4 wired controller (its an nacon licensed controller), my keyboard or my mouse stop responding.
Sometimes is immediately after plugging it on the usb port, sometimes happens after a while, could take up hours, but eventually happens..
I know its a way to check the controller for shorts using a multimeter, which i have..

Im ready to boy a new controller (xinput based), i just want to make sure this one is no good before buying.

Like this one, i have it for a few years now.

Edit2: when it happens, the led on keyboard still lit, but dont respond also, cant change rgb, same thing on the mouse, cant turn off led or change dpi.

are you using a usb hub? it may not have enough power for all devices

No, directly connected to motherboard..
Does not matter if usb3 or 2..

Thinking about getting a Logitech controller, i fear this one could damage my usb ports or maybe even the motherboard.

Sounds like a faulty cable.
I kept having this happen when I would plug my phone into a PC USB port.
I replaced the cable and its been fine ever since.

After opening the controller i noticed the damaged connector..
edit: just ordered a new one, thanks everyone for the help,.
