Need A New Mouse
Seems I've worn out another mouse. (A USB computer mouse for those of you thinking about being cute.)

Is there a type of mouse known for being durable? I'd like one to last longer than 3-5 years.

My current mouse (Corsair Harpoon) is misclicking and the wheel has become stiff and squeaky.

Last mouse was a Razer DeathAdder. Same thing happened with that. Except the wheel completely broke off, and eventually left-click wouldn't work at all.

I seem to keep making bad choices. So, I would appreciate suggestions.

Had my asus rog spatha since 2018, still works great, it even has replacement parts online.
Can you disassemble and clean the mouse?

Take it apart and clean it. Bend the spring back into place.
Microsoft USB has lasted more than 8 years 10 years cant remember
I have a very cheap hama that I bought 4 years ago and it still works fine and in my opinion performs better than most of the "budget gaming" mices :D
Logitech G502 Hero SE[www.amazon.de]

Logitech G240 Gaming-Mousepad (fabric)[www.amazon.de]

P.s.:
They do sometimes sell the Logitech G502 Hero SE for about 40 bucks only.

I log far more hours behind my computer than most. Yes, I could take it apart. But I suspect it would be no different than the last 5 mice I've used. (And took apart.) In every instance the mouse wheel has simply been worn down. Specifically, the part that connects the wheel to the electronics. They always whittle and break.

As far as the click... that's all electronic. There's no fixing that. No cleaning will make a difference. I suppose I could replace the sensor, but at that point, I might as well buy another mouse.
Last mice I got were Utechsmart Venus and G502 Hero. Both work excellently.

I would highly recommend the Logitech G series, based upon the old school MX series!

Those mice should last 8-12 years with daily gaming usage.

Ideally: Logitech G903 Hero (careful to notice there's two versions with the same name - 16K DPI vs 25K DPI HERO sensor, which is more accurate and uses less power). This will feel very similar to your Razer Deathadder. Can be wired or wireless.

If getting Logitech mice, double check what sensor it uses too.

My Microsoft sidewinder X8 laser gaming mouse lived untill october 2021. I remember very well paying R$300,00 in 2010.
After purchased Multilaser Warrior series for R$70,00...awfull to grab. Two days ago I had enough and purchased Redragon Notosaur and find way off greater. It ain't the sidewinder X8 but still great.
@Jackie Daytona: Nothing is durable if you can't maintain in good condition from the user itself and if you are nervous type of person that stress and reflict the anger onto your equipment. Smashing will speed the process. Keep your room clean from dust and never let it corrode. Never bend the wire although the old PVC revestiment material have been removed from manufacturing years ago so most of wires are replaced by nylon.

And since Logitech and Microsfot are so rare to find unless you order on the internet and wait.

Nah, these double click like crazy. The rate on the switch failures are extremely high which happens after 1 yr of use. The newer G203 Lighting Sync were junk, only the Old ones the G203 Prodigy were good but those were discontinued.
