What make is your AIO? Check the manufacturers software as it should report the pump RPM.
use a sata or molex power connector and adapter for it to ensure it is
put the aio fans on the cpu fan header
If the AIO's only power source is a fan header make sure it set to an appropriate speed. If you set it too low the pump may not function.
For some AIOs this means setting it to 100% always, for others which run the pump and fans in series you will have to find the appropriate settings youself, for example 50%-80% base on CPU temp.
Overall it sounds to me like the OP did not hookup the SATA power. Or the pump is simply DOA
I highly doubt your AIO is powered by a single fan header as the Pump in an average AIO uses more then 1.5 amps which is why they most often use SATA power connector as that should power not just the pump but also the connected radiator fans.
Please double check what came with your AIO and ensure everything is hooked up properly. If the cpu continues to go above 95*C shut the system off immediately and allow a good 10 minutes or so cool down time. And if continues after double check everything with the AIO and if that happens to all be correct then I'd have to assume the pump is dead.
you never run the pump at 100%
There is no SATA or USB port on the pump, only a 3 pin connector.
I cannot put the pump on 100% because the system doesn't show it. When I put all the fans on max settings in bios, every fan in the case go 100%, put the pump still doesn't work.
Well its 99°C on idle, so no it's not ok. 100°C is the CPU temp, so of course the water isn't at 100°C.
As I said, there is only a 3 pin connector. I've assemble and disassemble the whole thing 2 times to be sure that I've done everything right.
I've watched 3-4 videos about ppl building in this particular case. And in every video, they only plug a 3 pin connector from the pump, and a 4 pin adapter for the 2 fans on the radiator. These 2 fans work perfectly on every header on the mobo (PUMP, CPU and SYS).
Also, when the PC is running, the CPU is hot, and both AIO tubes are hot around the CPU, but the closer you get to the radiator, the coldest they are.
It could be a dead pump too, that method will solve it or diagnose it.
I've set the AIO on a 100% working motherboard : still doesn't work.
I've tried with a 3 pin to molex and a 3 pin to SATA : still doesn't work.
I've tried a Corsair AIO on my new motherboard : works perfectly fine.
My only guess now is that the pump is DOA. I've sent a ticket to Cooler Master, I'm waiting for their answer.
Thank you everyone for your responses, I'll update the topic when I get news from the manufacturer.
Affordable (no bells and whistles) and probably the single best AIO on the market right now.
most fan headers do not put enough power to run a pump, maybe .5a-1a
boards with cpu_pump header can put more than 1a to the pump
in bios set it to dc control 100%, not pwm
but its best to keep it at full speed, the pump is designed to run at 100%
easier on it to keep liquid flowing than start/stop it as temp changes
aio comes with a molex/sata adapter for the pump power, its fine to use that to ensure its at 100%
and let the fans cool the liquid in rad as needed
I would of bought the 280mma few days ago instead of H115i rgb elite but it can be a bit too thick of a rad. The Corsair range tend to be smaller but Freezer ii cools better.
OP has dead pump too.
