4K is useless if you have to play on low settings

Like, what is the point of 2160p resolution if you have to have low textures,shadows and everything to have stable 60+ fps?
Honestly, 1080p is already good itself, and maybe upgrade to 1440p would be good idea, but to be honest, is 4K or 8K really worth it, if for more pixels it gonna cut more FPS even on ultra high-end PCs? Honestly, i think 2K might be already enough, but i only have 1080p monitor, so i dont really know

Well yeah, if you can't run it, and you hate how it looks yeah it is pretty much useless to you. Sounds about right.

Modern mid-high-end machines can play at 4K high/ultra just fine.

But don't just drop it on ultra and call it a day, lower/disable anti-aliasing and other filters. Especially at these very high resolutions these filters have a massive impact on performance while not really being needed anymore.

Opinions will be differ per person but I myself find the difference between 1440p and 4K still quite substantial.

4k is not useless, it's useful if you have the hardware to drive it, then you will be able to realize its usefulness.

if you had to lower the graphics settings, then you don't have the suitable hardware for 4k in the first place.

My 3080 can run RDR2 on ultra (maxed everything) and get 60-70fps at 4k, there are a lot of gpus which are faster and my cpu isnt the fastest either. There is a market for 4k gaming

I don;t run 4K but have the hardware to do 4K comfortably.
5800x3d and RX 7900 XT.

I run 165hz 1440P and 1080P 360hz though.

Really? 3080 and only 70 FPS? my RTX 3060 ti can also do that on 1080p, while getting 80-90 fps

Its not about not being able to afford, i seen other people with powerful PCs saying that with 4K they get a lot of less FPS, just for more pixels on screen, and i dont know if that's a good deal honestly.

1440P is a big jump in clarity over 1080p, 4k is a bit better than 1440p for this depending on screen size, so 4k is that much better than 1440p is vs 1080p.

1080p is low res but a good res.

In order to tell the difference between 4K you would need the correct tv/monitor size depending on your view distance.

Fun fact ill bet OP hasnt tried what hes flaming. 4k low easily beats 1080p ultra. Why? Its called image quality and it beats graphics quality.

How you can enjoy low textures just because they are on 4K?
By you logic Half Life 1 in 4K looks better than RDR2 in 1080p
