Games which work fine on Windows 7 generally also run absolutely fine on Windows 10 and 11, Windows is backwards compatible.
Windows 7 has no longer been receiving security updates since 2020, the OS is insecure and unsupported, you should no longer be using it.
i think offline it is no problem but online some software will stop to work sooner or later...
Says who? I know people who gamed on outdated xp for ages. Never suffered a single downside like a virus or hack. Indeed what the upside was MS no longer bother you and better yet you have a less bloaty os.
Did you also replace the entire pc for the y2k bug?
You can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free if your Windows 7 license is genuine.
Its even possible to activate Windows 11 with Windows 7 keys as well as the licensing model hasn't changed at all.
and even then, cheap OEM keys exist.
Ok well enjoy the bloat, By the time your bullet gets past router firewall, windows bloat ,windows Firewalls,Windows defender, norton antivirus ill be long gone.
Pure gaming doesnt need any of it, Just create a backup image and make a note of your fps. If my some miracle you get a virus or hacked format and restore the old image. Most of the time a pc will remain powered down and invulnerable so it leaves almost no time for actors to mess with a pc and not be noticed... If you store passwords and sensitive info on a gaming pc then all you need is a ultra cheap tablet to fix that issue.
Steam isn't pulling support until New Year's Day 2024. By then, at least some would have found a viable alternative.
