Good router with SQM for home with 5 roomates?

I'm looking for a router that has SQM and can handle 5 active room mates. I'd say the network has around 60 devices connected right now.

The trouble at the moment is when someone is downloading or uploading it hogs the entire network and I get ping spikes ranging from 100 to 300 ms when it's usually 30 ms.

I'm on a 300 mbps Down and Up package at the moment, but I think this more a matter of poor handling of network traffic rather than just purely bandwidth.

Right now I'm looking to pull the trigger on the Eero Pro 6 as that seems to have the range and FQ_Codel.
