Aio push/pull fans
So i have two noctua 140mm fans laying unsed since i’ve mounted my corsair h115i (280mm radiator). I’m thinking about using the two noctua fans and make it a push pull configuration since I believe it would help with airflow because my case front panel is very restrictive (phanteks p400). Would it be a problem to mix the included corsair fans with the noctuas ones?

You could. The H115i has 2 fan headers, connect matching fans to each header using a splitter cable. Then with a bit of luck the AIO is smart enough to manage the two different fans properly and make them spin at the same speed.

The ones which move the most air should ideally be installed in pull and the weaker ones as push.

But it might not work that well, it will depend on the type of fans you are using.

Not really. PUSH: Fans that pushed air will give it a better cooling. PULL: fans that pull air will give it a better air velocity.

push / pull / push+pull makes little difference with a good cooler/rad
better fans can make a bigger difference

rad/cooler need high static pressure fans, not airflow

for push+pull or 240+rad, matching fans is best, else you will be limited to the lower fan static pressure

Doesn't really matter as long as the AIO is your intake.
Use high static pressure fans. The ones included from Corsair are just very cheap case fans, not the good quality SP fans

Their recent AIO's has very good Pressure fans. The only downside they can be loud at higher fan speeds. But even at 50%, they keep my CPU very cool.
Yea you should be able to set them all up to where you can manually control then within your OS

Thanks for all the feedback, i'll give it a shot and install the noctua fans and see how it goes. (plenty of spare time to do so nowadays)
Taking in account the note that the included aio fans are not that good, should i install the Noctua NF A14's as push? I'm asking instead of just trying it because it's a bit of a pain to do that change in my case.

It shouldn't make a bigger different in event stock fan or noctua fan were in pushing position.
Any fans probably better then none, or lack of them overall. Just don't expect push + pull to help temps greatly. But what can also hurt is when the rpms of the two fans are not matched fairly equally.

I have a few Y splitters which can help me match the fan speeds.

depends on the splitter

pwm (4pin, with all 4 to 1 fan, and 3 +/-/pwm to others) can pwm speed control all pwm fans, or give 12v to the others

2-3 pin if its a 3pin splitter, +/-/sense to one, +/- to others, will need to use dc volt control to set speeds to fans

In my experience, it would be better if you get a PWM splitter all the time since it can take a 3/4 pin fan.

3pin fan on pwm splitter will not be speed controlled, it will be at 100% all the time
