Can't enable RE-BAR in my bios
Hello guys, I need some help regarding the re-bar option, I can't find it in my bios (under the Advanced tab).

BIOS photo: https://pasteboard.co/DRt4a0AYAIEa.jpg

I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and my computer is an Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10.

I can't find the "4G decode" option either in the bios, and this is what GPU-Z says about the Resizable bar on my system:

I updated the nvidia driver, the bios driver, the vbios driver, everything I could.
Thanks in advance for your reply!

Might be because CSM or something is enabled. Not sure if it's that exact feature, but I think there's a feature that must be enabled for re-size bar to work.

Thanks for your answer.
GPU-Z says CSM is disabled (and it has to be disabled for re-bar).
I'm still searching a solution on my side as well.

yeah, you're right I had it opposite. CSM needs to be disabled. A Google search also says that UEFI boot mode must be enabled.

First make sure you BIOS firmware is updated to the latest version. Then disable CMS/Legacy BIOS support, once that is been disabled under "advanced > PCI" you should be able to find the options for enabling above 4G decoding and resizable BAR.

If you lack this option you BIOS firmware likely lacks the option to enable it. This feature was added via a patch on most 400 series boards after they released, some manufacturs may not have done that.

There only seems to have been a single BIOS update for this machine back in early 2021, so they may never have added this functionality.

My bios doesn't look like the Asus and MSI ones, it looks like an old bios in black and white. It's the latest Alienware bios and I saw guys with this bios having the option under Advanced tab. Sadly I don't have it on my side.
I will try to find the "Legacy bios support", but CMS is already disabled as GPU-Z says.

CMS and legacy BIOS are the same thing, it can go under either name. Most likely your BIOS lacks resizable BAR support for it was never added by the manufacturer.

Pretty sure the support has been added, I saw other people on the Internet having the same setup as me and they have the option in an older bios.
I added a photo of my bios to the main post.

Thanks for your replies guys.
I just contacted Dell about it, maybe they will explain why it doesn't appear.
If someone here owns an Alienware Aurora it could also be useful to have some answers on the topic.

Indeed!
I learned about it because of Jedi Survivor currently running poorly on rtx 30-40 cards, some people reported increased performances with re-bar enabled.

That game runs poorly no matter what. Wait for it to get patched.

Dang, thanks for reminding me about this game. I totally forgot I got this game free as a bundle with the 7900 I got. I claimed it because it was free. Steam won't activate it so I had to insteall EA program. I don't like EA but I'm using it to mess with this game. If it's that bad I'll install it and just not play the game.

Just had an answer from Dell, they want to take away my computer to their workshop without any explanation, I said no. I'm pretty sure this is a software issue, I have the correct hardware to handle this feature.

Have you checked the downloads support on Dell website for your model of system to see if any BIOS updates available?
