Check your video player settings, make sure it's not stretching the video.
Try VLC Media Player 64bit
I figured I could do that, might be my best option. I do have a 2k display so if I had the stream set to 4k and then just letterbox and then zoom to fit should work the best?
I've yet to try that option out, as anytime I do, it reverts to 4k and then it is zoomed in with like half the picture. Wonder if I can lock letterbox and then zoom
I would be using vlc media player, unless another player works better
Oh nice! Okay I'll try that and report back. :)
If you're on 21:9 screen then the video (if it has black bars, as most movies would) should still display the same way, going by the aspect ratio. On a 21:9 screen most HD and UHD movies should look more accurate as they should have less of a black bar issue since the movie was shot on an ultra-wide lense to begin with. Which is the reason most movies have black bars to begin with when viewed on 16:9 screens.
If you are watching a movie or other video file however where the picture for say 1080p or 2160p is actually using the entire 16:9 screen, that's going to result in it showing on a 21:9 screen with black bars on the sides of the screen rather then on the top and bottom.
If this doesn't work properly for you, try going to NVIDIA control panel and find the option for Scaling and set to Aspect Ratio rather then Full Screen.
Thank you thank you.
This is what is what I was looking for the best
