The higher pitch noise will attenuate in time, the hum persists.
I'd say it's normal. Or we both have defective units. :)
The cooling performance is good, so I'll keep it till end of life. Next one might be an Arctic, though.
There are some really good, dead silent air coolers around. I just hate that big chunk of metal hanging from the MB.
Anyway, when new is more noisy, calms down a bit after a while.
High rpm might help speed up the process, break and push out any lingering air bubbles.
Beisdes, I can control fans with iCUE software too.
Fair enough. But just for clarity, I wasn't suggesting the program just because it allows you to control fans. I can do that myself as well from within bios + a smorgasbord or other software. But, the main reason I was suggesting this program was because it runs some kind of initial "test" phase where it tests your fans/speeds and automatically takes care of it.
It simplified and solved my fan noise issues after I got tired of playing around in bios with fan curves.
I understand it's probably just a workaround and why you'd want to return/exchange it.
No need to respond though, If you don't want to use it I totally understand.
the pump is running at 2500rpm.what speed is your pump running at ? maybe try
a different header
In this case maybe a solid air cooler would be the way to go.
140mm fans, a nice little fan curve and it'd be almost inaudible. Give it a go if possible. Performance wise they're pretty much same as AIOs.
that a try not sure it would make a difference but worth a try
were noisy
