Maybe I should choose PS5
I starting to get pretty tired with all of those having to upgrade PC to play new games, having to buy new parts and new parts for new parts.
I know that PC offerts more customization, more and better sales and features, but to have PC as powerful as next-gen consoles you have to spend like 2 times more on it than on PS5, and you still gonna face power eating and bills for electrity.
Meanwhile , you can always buy PS5 and play games 4K 60FPS with raytracing.
I don't know honestly, I mean, I like my PC, I glad I have it, but maybe I could choose different.
Well, I guess there's no going back

I personally only had to turn down VRAM allocation one tick from Ultra Nightmare to have solid 60fps on my RTX 3080 10GB.

Oh yeah, if you've got the hardware for it then crank that sucker up.

If you have lesser hardware, then turn things down until it runs acceptably well.

Or alternatively you can play on console where you don't get a choice.

Everything else at UN and it ran a steady 60fps.

Keep in mind that once you get the PS5 there are other costs associated with it.

2nd controller = $70
Charger = $30
2 TB NVME = $150
PS Plus Premium = $120 a year

Another big associated cost is the zero guarantee of backwards compatibility with the next generation system. Yes, you can play PS4 games on PS5, but no such luck for PS3. There's no guarantee PS5 games will run on PS6, so if you're looking to upgrade there's a very good chance that you'll need to buy your games again, if they're even available.

Meanwhile on PC, my backwards compatibility goes back literally to the dawn of PC gaming. I can play everything from 8 bit DOS games with EGA graphics and PC speaker audio all the way up to the newest modern releases. A solid 40 years of gaming history available on one platform. Then there's emulation, which expands the possibilities so much the mind boggles. PC plays more console games than the consoles do.

When i first bought my PS5, In August last year, I thought it was the absolute ♥♥♥♥, I don't even think I turned my PC on for months while I played through Uncharted, TLOU, Ghost of Tsushima, Gran Turismo, etc etc etc, but once the exclusives were done it soon lost its shine and now I don't think I've even turned it on for more than 10 mins since January.

if you want 30-60FPS with lower resolution textures and 720p upscaled to 1080p and questionable ray tracing. Okay, but you can still buy an iGPU that does the same job as the PS5.

PS4 games run at 720p and because PS5 has backward compatibility feature running games from the previous gen consoles. This is a point.

it can and will render even lower than 720p
or with half the width and scale back to the display res if needed to hold the framerate up

Same for PS5 but 600$ PC also can run rtx games and if we count the prices of the games, no wounder why Sony were sued for overcharging above the claimed 30%

Well, I guess there's no going back

A PS5 is a cheaper alternative and will last you 7 years.
Games will look dated after a couple or 3 years. But you will always be certain, that games can run 30FPS or in some cases 60FPS

A PC is a multitool, if you have the budget, a machine that cost twice or 3x the amount of a PS5, will last you with ease 5 years as well and still give you better yields (graphically and FPS wise) than the PS5

I don´t recommend 4k gaming for PC, 1440p is the sweet spot.
The reason why 1440p is the sweetspot is because how close you sit at your monitor and the size of monitor most people have, coupled with the quality of having 1440p (you can´t see much of a difference from 1440p to 4k at close distance)

On a slow 4k TV that is 3 meters away from you, the PS5 is perfect fine.

It ofc depends on what you want, what your budget is and your needs in general.
Both are great options. Some people still opt in for 1080p gaming with their pc and a budget build, that still outperforms the PS5 easily.
