I didn't watch the clip, but if you don't like the new Task Manager, you can try ProcessXP. That's a proper "Task Manager". It's part of the SysInternals suite that's been around for ages.

Why don't you give a short summary on why the old Task manager is better?
Because my hunch is telling me you're trying to use that as an excuse to not upgrade to Win10 or Win11.

it has better functionality, such as the "new task" button not being hidden.

part of the point of posting this was that I can't seem to explain why it's better so I was hoping maybe this would give a bit better explanation... also I find it kinda interesting.

yep - old task manager was better.. win11 one is slow to start, slow to respond, and less visually appealing (old one was simpler to interact with)

What missing features? Task Manager hasn't always had Analyze Wait Chain for instance.

Not only does Dave not say the newer versions of Task Manager are inferior, He in fact says the opposite and provides several examples of the improvements that have been made since he's retired.
