regarding legacy task manager...
I couldn't fully explain why the new one isn't as good... but perhaps the man who programmed it can.

that "new task" button sure was great.

so you admit it was re-added after the fact and win8 and 10 in fact still have an inferior task manager?
I don't get what you mean? You don't seem to be making any sense. Pretty sure New Task was always in the File menu until Windows 11 22H2 overhauled the UI.
well I'm sure it wasn't that at a point as I actually did personally view windows 10 myself and it wasn't there and the whole thing felt like a tablet...

as far as I'm can tell you admit it's not present in 10 and also possibly 8... therefore those versions are inferior.

I did not admit anything. It's in the File menu of Task Manager in every version of Windows up to 11 21H1. If you had just a window with a list of apps, the More details switches to the fully-featured Task Manager.

well being in the file menus isn't the same as a button you can ctrl+click to open a command prompt, is it?

ok, that still doesn't negate my point that microsoft is obfuscating what I consider to be basic features of the OS... and evidently so did dave as it programmed it to be above the knrenel >.>
Wow, I didn't know Task Manager has been around so long. It's certainly come a long way.

Personally, I could not do without it.
Who cares if it's in the file menu or not? The functionality is still there.
or use winkey + r
I went and looked on the previous Task Managers in XP, 7, 10 and 11.

Only Windows 11 has a button for it on the main tab.
Every other task manager has it through "File-> Run new task".

So you kingjams488 have been complaining about something that has never been a thing.
