If the Headset uses a single 4 pole jack then you most likely need an audio adapter to use such headset on most PCs onboard audio.
You might not have the correct official audio driver installed, up to date, etc. And thus could be a problem of sorts.
If front case audio ports are a problem, try using the ones on the rear of Motherboard ; Green (Line Out) and Pink (Mic In). If headset cable too short you can buy a male to female extension cable quite cheap.
When you go to use the Motherboard or other audio you will need to do that with no games running so you can go into the OS Audio Settings and set the proper devices as defaults.
Okay so. I have a adapter for my headset, the headset and mic work. I have downloaded the latest audio drivers to the motherboard (at least I bloody hope I did.) The front stopped working and the back did work for a time, but that too stopped working. OS Audio settings I assume is control panel for sound, where I've messed with everything. All I get is no sound is picked up, but if I raise the Dec to 30+ I get static, depending on the realtek settings, that static turns into unholy screaming.
The issues been plaguing me for years, I thought the controller solved it, but the lack of audio behind me is just another problem on top of everything
I'm tired boss.
