Open Nvidia Control Panel and add the game to the game list if not already there. Then in that listing for said game, apply max FPS and then try setting that Vertical Sync to either Fast or Adaptive and see which VSync method works best for your gpu and game.
If FPS is stable and not getting in game stuttering, set the Power Limit % in MSI AB between 70-100 and see how it does. In some games 70% might be too low and if the gpu clocks jump down too much as a result of the power limit it will affect the in-game performance but overall this is easy enough to ALT+TAB between game and MSI AB and try a few different settings changes and see what works best to get stable FPS while not pushing the GPU to use more power watts then really needed.
Untick the Chain between Power Limit and Temp Limit sp they are no longer linked this allow you to set Temp Limit to around 84-91 as you wish regardless of Power Limit %
If you don't see Temp Limit, change the MSI AB Skin in its settings to a skin that offers that setting slider
- avoid GeForce Experience which sets give an ultra pixelised and ugly result ;
- just use the in game auto-detection - no change afterwards ;
- MSI power and temp linked, temp limit set to 70 ;
- result : perfect image, no tearing, around 60 FPS average, 170 W instead of 350, average GPU temp 60.
Better off doing that yourself.
If you can do without ShadowPlay Recorder; get rid of GFE altogether and stop ever installing it.
