Red Dead Redemption 2 suddenly broken on Steam Deck

Hi,

I've played through almost the entire main story of RDR2 on my steam deck with good performance at 40 FPS. I took a break from the game for a few months, and now when booting it up with the exact same settings, it's stuck at 10-12 fps. Changing the graphic settings doesn't seem to affect the FPS a bit.

Anybody have a solution?

Could be something with Steam as well; as it's had multiple OS Updates since then.

Does the Steam Deck have a way to "Optimize" the SSD?
That might need something you need to do from time to time.
I was constantly having to do with with PS3 and PS4 consoles in order to retain game performance otherwise many games had longer loading as time went on, or in-game stuttering.

And you are running off wall-power and not battery-power; correct?
