Look at MSI and Sager
Buying a gaming laptop today then it should have Ryzen 7xxx Intel 13th Gen CPU + at least RTX 3070 or 4060 GPU. And at least 16GB RAM and at least 1TB SSD
Are they good or not? I have a Lenovo Legión 5 Gen 6 15ITH6H i5, 16GB, RTX 3060
Yeah, It has to be a laptop. It was a present to my girlfriend and she needs a laptop but the Lenovo has some issues
Those specs you are saying are to mid-high laptops, she only want to be a le to play at 40-60 to AC Odissey, AC Valhalla, Hogwarts, RDRD 2, Witcher 3, etcétera, so those kind of specs I mention are enough, so are any of them worthy?
Also, Ryzen better that Intel? I bought her an Intel thinkinc It was better, but the same pcs (those in the post and the Lenovo) has Ryzen versions
Intel CPUs ending in a U are low end power-saving CPUs; which you simply do not want for gaming of any kind.
RTX 3050 however just won't cut it; it's VERY low end; and also the Mobile GPUs just aren't the same. So basically you have to get a Laptop w/ RTX 3070 just to even come close to a Desktop RTX 3060; which is needed just to get 40-60 FPS @ 1080p in most of the games you speak of.
I think people tend to think I'm trying to spend their money and recommend stuff too high; this is simply un-true and there are TONS of Sales going on right now. You can easily get a Laptop with 16GB of RAM and then add-in maybe a 2TB SSD (which for Games you WILL need; as a single drive below 1TB is simply not enough storage.
Can easily get new Laptops with latest specs and RTX 3070 or 4060 for around $1000 or less.
If you plan to play games then it's foolish to go with lower specs; like Mobile RTX 3050 or 3060 because the specs you go with are all you will ever have in the life of that laptop, aside from RAM and Storage which you can change or upgrade; all the rest you can not. So the specs needs to hold it's own for at least 2-3+ Years on average. Otherwise WTF is even the point.
If the find the right specs and all it has for storage is 500-512GB SSD; so be it. Then be ready to open up the Laptop and install a 2nd SSD of around 2TB which you can purchase separately and install yourself. Just ensure to configure your game clients to use the 2nd drive so everything is not going onto the C Drive.
There probably are no issues at all, you might just have never had such a laptop or simply un-sure about some things it has on it.
HP are idiots and couldn't come up with anything "Gaming" if it fell in their lap. Something from HP would be a serious down-grade. Especially since you are wanting to go with RTX 3050.
Really, thank you a lot, guys
