So far I ran it before on this config (i9 9900K + RTX 3080 10GB) and the amount of processes went from 150 down to like 68. gaming performance didn't improve much but overall system responsiveness has increased very noticeably.
just look for them on github
In Win10 even after launching Steam + Rockstar I have only used 3GB of RAM and that's with GFE, MSI AB, RTSS and Creative SoundBlaster Volume app running in background
This is OT but do you recommend the Creative Sound Blaster discrete card? Is it that much better than a mainboard's sound thingy?
I have Creative GigaWorks speakers but am wondering if the extra sound card is gonna make a vast difference if I already added the OpenGL sound enhancement.
Edit: there are lots of articles on how to reduce the bloat in Windows 11.
https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-quickly-remove-bloatware-from-windows-11/
I remove a lot of junk manually--after a while you just know what to keep and what to delete.
Also, you need to manually turn off a lot of extra background services in Settings app/Privacy/Background apps. Toggle off as many as you want. Any app you toggle to off will open regardless on demand.
Plays most Games like crap also.
In Use (Compressed)
2.2/8GB
Commited 2.5/9.3GB
The question is what makes windows 11 to use more ram.
Windows will use up RAM to pre load things into it. In case you start using it. If you have less RAM it'll use less RAM.
You can use Windows with 1 GB RAM, it won't be a good experience but you can use it. Also RAM is meant to be used. RAM not used is basically wasted RAM.
RAM in my case is not wasted when l have to run VPN with a server and other applications in the background.
the first thing you should do on any mobile device running windows is set your battery settings correctly, lower your screen brightness, and turn off or disable many of the startup and active services.
a mobile device is no different from a desktop pc, both will run like garbage if they are not set up correctly, battery life can go from 30 minutes to 4 hours of settings are changed correctly.
also lowing the over all core % throttle of the CPU will also increase the life, lower the heat, and lower the power consumption.
Your computer is now bloatware free.
