Scared of stocking up on ps4 controllers
I'm afraid they'll be useless because technology and bluetooth might've changed a lot when I'm 50 years old. I'm 32 now. I'm not looking for solid answer, just what you think. I'm using them on PC with bluetooth dongle. Good idea? Bad idea?

Why specifically these controllers?
Not every game support them. Some cause trouble even with DS4Windows app. They use microusb connector that is trash - doesn’t even hold the cable properly.

Also why 10?
It has to be these because I can play for 8 hours straight without feeling any pain. I can do that with X box controllers too, but I prefer these.

DS4Windows is not needed anymore. It's just plug in and play. It works on a PC out of the box as if it was a Playstation 4 console. They don't hold the cable properly, but I use them wirelessly.

I need 10 because I will use each one for 3 years. That's 10*3 = 30 years. So I will run out of them when I'm 60, and by that time, I won't be playing games anymore.

Ten controllers is too much and a bad idea as one controller can last a good amount of time. Controller prices won't increase. Ten controllers is what a scalper [reseller] would do. Only time you should buy more than one controller is if you have people in your house who play with you.

What about looking at a custom high end controller, there's a bunch of them these days, or use a mouse and keyboard, I use a lap board with them on the couch
i wouldnt, there will be second replica ps4 controllers available just like you can buy sega genesis or nintendo controller replcas

maybe get 3 of the ps4 ones but dont go overboard

DS4 are terrible.
Terrible battery life is the biggest issue really.

Best bet is go look at the various Controllers from 8bit-Do

Look here!! Look listen!!

Some people break controllers when raging.

It's perfectly normal.

Why? Xbox has the superior controller.

I've been using my sole xbox 360 wired controller for PC games / emulators since 2009. It far outlasted the purpose of the console I originally had it for. Only thing I've had to replace more than once is the detachable usb connector cord.

It’s impressive that you don’t have stick drift problem. Seems better quality than DS4 sticks. You can fix it but it’s a hustle.

It's an ok controller, but xbone is a huge step up in ergonomics.

i find the ergonomics are far better with a PS style than the xbox offering, but, its really what you are used to i think.

ive barely touched a controller for over a decade, but when i do i ind the PS much better, but, i had play stations as a teen when they came out, so probably just what im used to.

I use a mini version of the original xbox controller by mad catz. I soldered the usb into it and made a new shell around the entry point. You do what you must when only certain controllers will work for you personally. Stock up.

you can use a usb cable on a ps4 controller, the issue with the usb 2 mini usb cables becoming obsolete or hard to find is more of a issue then the controller being obsolete.

Or maybe a non official Xbox controller with the Sony DS layout
