Scared of stocking up on ps4 controllers

I'm afraid they'll be useless because technology and bluetooth might've changed a lot when I'm 50 years old. I'm 32 now. I'm not looking for solid answer, just what you think. I'm using them on PC with bluetooth dongle. Good idea? Bad idea?

Just how many were you planning on getting!?!?

If its no longer available you'll get used to a new controller in a few days and with updated tech, chances are it will be better too.

I hope you're right, because I never got used to the ps5 controller. It hurts my hands.

Why specifically these controllers?
Not every game support them. Some cause trouble even with DS4Windows app. They use microusb connector that is trash - doesn’t even hold the cable properly.

Also why 10?

Have you tried an Xbox controller or a Nintendo switch pro controller.

It has to be these because I can play for 8 hours straight without feeling any pain. I can do that with X box controllers too, but I prefer these.

DS4Windows is not needed anymore. It's just plug in and play. It works on a PC out of the box as if it was a Playstation 4 console. They don't hold the cable properly, but I use them wirelessly.

I need 10 because I will use each one for 3 years. That's 10*3 = 30 years. So I will run out of them when I'm 60, and by that time, I won't be playing games anymore.

They're just as good as the PS4 controller, but I prefer the PS4 because it's the one I grew up with. The button layout is very different on the Xbox controller.

You can buy a special cable holder for ps4 controllers that will negate the issue with micro usb port.

However, I had few games that simply didn’t work with DS4. Recently it was Final Fantasy 13 saga. There was Dark Souls 2 before that didn’t work properly even with DS4Windows. There were some other games before that was causing problems. One game had changed/wrong button layout. Genuine Microsoft controller is the only one without such problems.

Have you tried messing around with controller settings in steam? Try enabling Xbox + PS4 controller support.

Depends on your preference what controller feels right to you. I use ps5 controller midnight black for some PC games.

And how long is your gaming sessions? My hands felt broken after 3 hours of Rocket League. But that's just me. I can use it for 1 hour, no problem, but if it's longer than that it starts to hurt.

Longer than 48 hours till I go to sleep and hop back on after shower. Just depends on what controller feels right to you.

There is different brands of Playstation controllers online, if ps4 controller is giving you problems maybe use ps5 controller or ps3 controller whether it be a unofficial or official controller.

There is a lot of aftermarket controllers for ps3, ps4 or ps5 that work on pc.

I use midnight black ps5 controller because it doesn't glow at night and I also use a 3rd party charging cable that is long so I can plug it in and play.

If you use ebay or other sites then yeah it possible but there's always a chance of scams and may be broken.

Honestly I would just buy from a trusted retailer unless they don't sell controllers anymore like ps3.
