Steam link controllers for Hisense U68G TV ?

Looking for a controler that works on my Hisense Tv U68G with Steam link.
Tried the PowerA Xbox one wired controller and it doesn't work,
Rock candy wired Xbox controller works well
Power A nano Switch wireless controller kind of works when paired with the TV first, but can be blotchy and has too much deadzone on the joysticks

I see a lot of controllers that say they work with the Steam deck, so my question is, will those also with with the Steam Link? Do they support the same controllers?

hisense has a few types of 'smart' tvs
google/android should support most bt controllers

the hisense house steam link app may not
