Steam Deck just makes clicking noise and no picture.
I used my Steam Deck for an hour back in march, I turned it off and put it in a draw and just came back to it now. However when I try to turn it on the haptics just click constantly, it makes some kind of like pc speaker kind of noise and it just does that constantly. Is there any button combo I can press to try and reboot it into some sort of safe mode?

That sounds bad. Very bad.
I got it to turn on but the touch screen isn't working and the pads don't work properly.... I didn't use the console much, are they not meant to work in menus? Like the pads want to work but I try to scroll and they're all over the place, the touch screen does nothing. Only the dpad will work fine.

steam deck is always running and will drain the battery completely if left unattended for prolonged periods of time, proper battery hibernation mode is required, so it sounds like you completely drained your steam deck, i would prob try and do a restore an leave it charged up for while a plugged in till the battery is well over 50%

i don't have a steam deck so i can't be much help but maybe there is a calibration tool to get the touch screen working?

my suggestion would be to load up the latest steam deck image and hope for the best.

There is literally a 'shutdown' button

He's better of RMA'ing it tbh.

Clicking noises are hardware, not software related

Return it to steam (RMA). With a little bit of luck you get a new one
