Question about RAM
If a game says 16 GB RAM required, does that mean total memory or available memory? I just checked my task manager and saw that 10 GB (out of 16) were being used at idle, I'm assuming that's mostly Windows, but I don't really know.

I really don't have many other apps going on, like discord, skype, media players, etc.

Any extra info is appreciated.

Total, So the game could only require 10 - 12gb, but 16 total to keep things running smoothly

Yep.

Though 32 GB of ram is recommended if you run a lot of background programs too while you game nowadays.
