1060 6gb vs 7900 xt benchmark?
Ok I know it's significantly more powerful, I am well aware, I just bought the 7900 xt because it hit a price that I was ok with, however i'm wondering if there are any places that did benchmarks with a 1060 6gb in the mix so I can see how comical the comparison is?

yea googling that essentially brings up the absolute most ♥♥♥♥ comparison sites what I want to see is 7900 in 4k vs 1060 in 4k, just the stupid comparisons like that.

It's unlikely to see them in head to head benchmarks due to both age and difference in the lineup. Tom's Hardware does have a GPU hierarchy where they've presumably run both cards through a suite of games, and that's the only thing I know of offhand that isn't theoretical which might include both in a sizeable amount of games, but the GTX 1060 isn't included in the 4K results (as they limit testing to omit slower cards at that resolution).

Otherwise, my thinking if I really wanted to explore it would be to look for results which have something like an RTX 3060 12 GB or GTX 1080/Ti, because knowing they are somewhat similar in performance, that the GTX 1060 56 GB is usually half as fast or even a bit slower (emphasis on the italicized words), it would give you a rough idea.

But you're definitely looking at something many times faster (probably like four to six times faster or so) in GPU alone, but in practice it might be less when you're not GPU bound.

Otherwise, presuming you had the GTX 1060 before, test them yourself and see what results you get.

I know there were a few, I did see them a while back but wasn't really paying too close attention due to the stupid prices these gpus came out at, the reason it would still be used... well, look at the steam chart, the 1050 is the top gpu followed by the 1060, if there was an older gpu to put in a benchmark because people own it/use it, that would be the one.

You can go to TPU GPU database and set the GTX 1060 as the base at 100%, you'll find that the RX 7900 XT is about 460% or 4.6x more powerful...

You can also check here. Put your CPU model and choose the GPUs. They have 1080p, 1440p, Ultrawide 1440p and 4K comparisons.

While not the greatest for sure, it is more or less on par with benchmarks that I see on YouTube.

Biggest waste of time ever. More of a waste than me replying.

What's actually comical is you seem to be trying to disrespect the 1060 in some strange way, probably in an effort to soften the blow. After all ,you wasted a terrible amount of money on a piece of overpriced garbage. The gtx 1060 is the value king and no benchmark will ever take that away or make you feel any less remorseful about your purchase.

What you should have done is got a 6000 series. The 6000 series holds a much better value, something closer to what the 1060 had going for it. 7000 series is overpriced and trying too much like Nvidia.

I believe techpowerup has a list of gpus and will show you in % how much more powerful your 7900xt is compared to your former 1060 ( may it rest in peace ).

but as far as 4k comparison, I have not found anything except for fake benchmarks

What people use has nothing to do with what gets benchmarked though. People still use GTX 1650s and GTX 1060s because they work fine for most things (that is changing) and because the GPU market is in the most pathetic state its ever been in.

The stuff that gets benchmarked is new stuff because that's what's relevant on the buying market right now. Older stuff isn't. And there's enough rough data out there for anyone with older GPUs to approximate how much of an increase they would be getting. In the case of a GTX 1060 to 7900 XT, it would be many times.

I knew there was another one I was thinking of and that was it.
