Get a 5xxx cpu. Take your pick. What power supply you have?
If not wanting to go to link--it says for this combination: 650 watts which is a little low, I thought. Edit: is the minimum. They have some nice suggestions if you scroll down. /edit

The source says "suggested" is 700 watts. I would get a nice 750 watt model since you will have a nice processor as well.
Many select from tier B psu. Your decision to make.

Makes lot more sense to get 5000 series Ryzen CPU, just need to update the motherboard BIOS.
Might need to update to latest bios first
Also, 5600X3D or 5800X3D makes more sense, no point in buying another Zen2 CPU because the performance difference is only a few percent.
The former wasn't even worth it when it was new. The 3800XT was already a poor value compared to the 3800X, which was already a poor value compared to the 3700X.
And of course Zen 2 is still alright but there's little reason to buy one (at least in the new market) these days, more so because you already have one.
The 5700X or 5800X3D are the best options, but if this only for gaming and you're near a Micro Center (and they still have them?), the 5600X3D is a good consideration too. It's most of the performance of the 5800X3D at a lower price so it's technically a better price/performance for gaming.
For the GPU, while the RTX 3080 was alright when it was new, it's also pointless today. The RTX 4070 might lose by a hair in performance here and there, but it's mostly comparable and is much cheaper, has a bit more VRAM, uses much less power, and is newer with newer DLSS and such, so there's no reason to choose an RTX 3080 anymore.
Also, ensure you're updating your BIOS. Not just for newer CPU support but there's been security issues coming out for a lot of CPUs lately. First it was Zen 2 (your CPU), then it was a lot of of Intel CPUs (6th generation to 11th generation), now for Zen 3 and Zen 4. No matter what you're on (almost), ensure you're watching for BIOS updates because a lot of relevant stuff has known issues right now.
This page will show you the correct bios version required to use each of the 5000 series processors. All 5000 series processors on your motherboard are listed as supported. But with my earlier suggestion: You probably want to stick to 12-core or 8-core processors so your board doesn't run too hot and will last longer. You "Could" technically run 16-core processors but it probably wouldn't be a great idea in your board.
You can use Ryzen 5000 series with BIOS update but no 7000 series because they are new socket and need new motherboard.
