Dad bought a Logitech G502 Hero SE mouse at a thrift shop for $3. Anyone have experience with this mouse?
I currently have two PCs. One with a Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime MOBA, and the other one with an MSI GM08 Clutch mouse. I'm thinking of possibly switching out the MSI one for the G502 SE, since this one has a MUCH higher DPI setting, more programmable buttons, more lightweight (with the ability to even adjust the weight) and the ability to switch the mouse wheel from scroll to spin and vice versa. I'm guessing the G502 will get me more traction in gaming than my current MSI one. Or would it better over the G302 Daedalus?

the G502 Proteus is the best mouse ive ever used (have a backup i bought like 2-3 years
ago thinking this one would die its been almost 5 years now) bought a 502 hero as backup
a few years back and during test RMA 3 times due to double clicking finally gave up and took
the loss refused to rma it again found another proteus on line an bought it.

if it is a good hero and actually works i would say you have the finest mouse avaliable
IMO for 3.00 a massive find enjoy.but beware of the double clicking.

CORRECTION my wife's mice kept breaking down so i gave her my old proteus and
am now using the brand new one for about 6 months now zero issues as expected.

I'm well aware of the double click issue. I had a Logitech G100s at one point and it ended up having that dreaded double click issue. My current G300 Daedalus Prime MOBA however hasn't had it yet at all, and I've already used it for quite some time. I'd say perhaps the DPI cycle button has it more so (it skipping a DPI setting every now and then whenever I press it). And this new G502 Hero SE was actually donated to Goodwill by somebody (hence the cheap price) but apparently the only problem with it seems to be the "G" symbol light no longer glowing on the mouse (the DPI lights still work though).

Basically, it doesn't light up at all but the mouse itself works fine otherwise. Not really a deal breaker since your palm is always over that symbol anyway. And the "light show" is just a superficial thing. All the weights were in the mouse though and the scroll wheel works (despite being more noisy because it's metallic with spokes).
