having problem updating games

guys is there anyone who can help me please.im batteliing to update some of my games keeps on giving me a dsik error write.tried clearing cache restarted pc but nothing seems to work

there is most likely a problem with the drive

check the drive for smart errors
and chkdsk /f x:
change x to whatever drive has the steam library with errors
then reboot

if its a hdd with bad/pending sectors, replace it asap

Also you probably had Steam make the Steam Librsry Folder while not having launched the Steam Client via Run As Admin. Always launch Steam with that option. Go to Steam > Settings > Storage and click the drive and click option to Repair the library folder.

But yes if clearing download cache does not do the trick alone; it's time to run CHKDSK /F on each drive letter and see if this fixes anything.

From now on never put game clients in OS Startup and always launch them via the Run As Admin optional launch action
