Even if it's not G-SYNC Compatible, FreeSync may still work. Hard to really tell without testing it.

Might, might not work .... you'll just have to try it when you get your TV. With luck, I should be getting a small apartment sometime in the future, I'd be looking into a 65" 4K TV with Freesync compatibility. Both my rigs are all AMD builds, so Freesync is my only option, and I'm perfectly fine with that as I'm an AMD guy.

Yes, freesync works on all gpus, just like fsr

Yes it will work.

You have to be "gsync compatible" and you can use Nvidia. That's what I'm doing with my free sync premium.

When I use an AMD card that's when it uses feesync. You also need display port.

uhm... Every monitor or TV can have FreeSync and all gpus from 16s series and above should support this feature.

As the name implies, it's an open standard, so there's no reason for any device not to support it.

But then, even in these later ages, there's a distressing number of media devices and players that don't recognize .ogg and .mkv when there's also no excuse.

I mean, even if the monitor/TV doesn't have freesync, you can mod it thanks to CRU.

These devices should have no problem playing .ogg and .mkv files, it's more likely that they don't have the correct codec.

Doesn't FreeSync need an AMD GPU?

https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh2-013

"AMD FreeSync Requirements

It runs on Nvidia as well as GS Compatible but it sometimes works without explicit support on the display

freesync can work on nvidia and intel gpus
but the display needs to support it for non amd gpus
