Water cooling
Does it need any maintenance ?

Like AIOs for CPUs or water cooled video cards ?

What happens if it breaks ? What the worst that could happen?

My non loop.

Watercooling is almost always never worth it anymore since components are made to last at their rated temperatures they are rated to tolerate and almost all hardware comes from the factory pushed pretty close to the max anyway, Ryzen and even Core series CPU's benefit from undervolting, not really overclocking.

GPU's have such massive coolers now they barely perform any better on water, and to the point the cost of a loop is not worth it.

You are still dumping all the hot gpu exhaust in your case, i am not. And i bet mine is quieter gaming with my 50c max temps.
You are dumping it in a room no matter what LOL.
for real just buy a better air conditioner then your room will have cool air to pull into the pc

What's the second rad cooling? The one at the back standing up?

It's a dual rad loop. i guess it might have been ok with the single thicker rad, but had the two, so why not.

Been debating on going back to watercooling for my i7 7700k again. I used Swiftech parts last time. Can't remember who I used for the water block though. Still have the dual rad.
custom loops can be done much cheaper now if you use stuff from barrow and bikski (i use barrow fittings) they are chinese brands but easily a match for other more mainstream stuff.

on the other end of the scale, you have optimus pc which are very expensive, and for 2-3x the cost you get a couple degrees better temps and it looks cool.

heres my build i just tore down using optimus blocks and res with 4 rads, 2 480mm and 2 360mm rads.

while you can do a great loop for £500, that one was closer to £2000

new build is going a little crazier, 3 thick 480's and 2 thick 360's is the plan.
Oh and really, my loop won't behave much better than one costing a fraction of the price, it's largely paying for aesthetics at this point.

A good 360 aio costing 100 bucks will cover the majority of needs.

Mines a mix. EK rads, EK DDC4.2 pump, EK GPU block, and Heatkiller CPU block, rads are using Noctua NF-A12x25 PWMNF-A12x25 PWM. I did try hard tubes but it's a pita to build and a pita if you need to switch out something or strip for maintenance. I am happy with this.

I see that guy got banned, no surprise there.

it better be, cause for 700 quid you could of just built a second computer , i just priced one and it was around 700 dollars for motherboard cpu and memory for a i7 12600 with 32 gbs DDR5 and motherboard

Having a PC is an expensive hobby overall. A custom loop is an expensive cooling solution, not for everyone. My temps are cool and my PC is quiet, so why not, and i can always re-use the loop parts for any new build or parts change in the future.

You seem to know your sh*t, so I have a question for ya. What front fans would you think would be best on a NZXT Phantom410 case? I currently have 2 fans pulling into the case from the front as I have removed the hdd cage. One rear exhaust and one top exhaust. Currently with the Hyper212 without the ac on, temps are mid/high 30 c.

For a radiator, fans with better static pressure, otherwise, standard airflow fans are fine

Just looking to see if there are better case fans for this particular case.

There isn’t much better than Noctua or Corsair fans
delta fans with metal blades and real bearings, not bushing/air bearing
those will last nearly forever

70k hours (8 years continuous), im sure it will go much longer
6000rpm, 210cfm, 64db
its pwm, so turn it down for quiet

To avoid dust, positive is bet imo, so i would have 2 front Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM in, 1x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM top IN and 1x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM out, positive, so less dust, and all air drawing towards the read fan, out and towards your air cooler.

I have 6 Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM on my 2 rads and 4x LIAN Li linked fans( 4 fans, 1 lead) on the front

Know of a cheaper alternative? For 3 of those, it comes to $113CAD.
