I can't thank you enough for all your help!
It appears to be that program was the one I was using. Thought it was different as it shows as "Disks". Seems like I just had to uncheck "User Session Default" and change the Mount Point. Now it works pretty good.
Thanks a lot again :)
I daily drive Pop!_OS and it's been working better for me than Windows ever has, and this thread has me trying EndeavourOS.
Nonetheless, not everyone has the technical skill to put up with Linux and that's fine :) wouldn't advise talking all this smack about it considering despite your supposed experience, you can't help but stick only with a dumbed down closed-source OS that's vulnerable to viruses, ripe with its own issues and sometimes downright unstable, and being turned into a consumer machine by its creator.
And you leave Tux alone, he's a good boy.
I tried to play NFS Heat from both Lutris and Steam. On Lutris, when I open it from EA App, it just keeps getting minimised. As for Steam, it starts but as soon as it says "connecting to EA Servers" i get an error:
Wine C++ Runtime Library
Program: (game location)\Need for SpeedHeat.exe
File: ../src-wine/dlls/winevulkan/loader_thunks.c
Line: 2774
Expression "!status && "vkCreateGraphicsPipelines""
I can't seem to solve this issue. Couldn't find solution anywhere.
Also Lutris keeps saying something like "Wine version does not support esync & fsync". I tried to update it but it says I have the latest version of Wine. Anything I'm missing?
Esync and Fsync are optional and not available in normal WINE, you do not need them. Having them may improve multi threading performance.
You can try using a different version of Proton. I tend to run Proton Experimental - Bleeding Edge, anmd when it breaks I fall back on the latest stable Proton release which is currently 8.0.
You can switch to Bleeding Edge by opting in to the beta through Proton's game settings.
Oh super, I'll give it a try all the proton versions when I'm back from work I. This case.
Honestly EA App part did not surprise me, it was broken even in Windows
