i dont know if there are adaptors or something like that to fit more NVMe SSD drives to a mobo.

There is enterprise-class hardware available with have 24+ NVMe/U.2/CXL slots per server. But it is not a hardware segment I have huge familiarity with (It is kinda out of my price range).
but dont, they are not any faster than any other sata ssd due to usb limits
only really useful for cloning os if upgrading a nvme on board with only 1 nvme slot
so it doesnt make sense to buy a bunch of low capacity ssds
You can go to ridiculous amounts if you have the money for it.
