My asus 850w thor psu has its fan upwards pointing to the gpu so I'm guessing having the button pushed in is recommended if the gpu gets a little hot???
My pc does get a little hot due to the gpu mainly hitting 50c. I own the asus rog helios case that is a big case. Thought i'd pick up the asus thor psu since that looks nice with it.
Dust gets clogged up if 0db fan is off on psu???
It's just a choice between being off until hitting the threshold temp and then bursting into life with a sudden burst of sound, or just sitting at a low speed all the time and ramping up smoothly as needed.
no real point in it having the on/off switch unless it has no automatic fan controller
