Which IGP should i buy for gaming?
I want ot buy a laptop, but cant decide on which one. I lean towards AMD for better software support and compatibility.(as i know AMD has better software)

Examples of CPU-s i can choose

Amd ryzen 5 5500U

Amd ryzen 5 5625U

Intel Core i5 1235U

Intel core i5 1155G

On paper by default, the Intel core i5 1155G7 is the strongest by raw power, but i am not sure, if in real games it could outperform every CPU mentioned above.

Ram would be DDR4 3200Mhz stock, but i am open about to upgrade it to better quality 3200MHz ram with CL22 or CL18 even, if i can gain some more fps with it.

Ryzen 5800 or 6800 with dedicated RTX 3060 or better gpu.

Don't buy Laptops with only cpu bound iGPU if you care about doing Gaming
From what I'm finding, the Core i5 1155G is more comparable to the Ryzen 5 4500U[www.notebookcheck.net], so I presume the 5500U and 5625U will be a bit better. The Iris Xe G7 with 80EUs is apparently around par with the Vega 7 and Vega 8[www.notebookcheck.net] (the former of which the 5500U has). But they all seem not too far from one another, so other variables (screen size, type, resolution, RAM, storage, etc.) might become other decision shifting criteria.

3,200 MHz RAM with CL22/18 is rather slow, especially if you'll be relying on an IGP where RAM speed becomes that much more important.

Someone I know recently upgraded their laptop with DDR4 and I was surprised at how high the timings were for currently available 3,200 MHz stuff. Most was CL 22 or 18, but there did exist a few options with 16 (Mushkin was one of them, and the other I forget), so they are out there. Don't go with CL22 stuff.

amd has much better igpu than intel

but on a laptop, get the one with a dedicated gpu, even the nvidia mx are better than amds igpu

if it only has the igpu, get fast ram with lowest timings

speed / cl, higher = better

What is your budget?

If you must go low budget and want to actually run games, stay clear of anything from INTEL

Do you actually need a portable computer? If you dont, buy a desktop. You are literally paying double for the same parts when buying a laptop. Could get a much more powerful desktop instead, which can also be upgraded.

There are a lot of idiots who buy laptops and never move them from their desk…
