PS2 emulation
I have a couple of games I would like to play. The PS2 emulation wants to save to a PS2 memory stick. It asks to format the memory. How can I safely save my game progress?

The memory card is entirely virtual. Nothing will be formatted other then a little binary file pretending to be a memory card.

This sounds about right. There should be in the emulation folder some save files or files representing the virutal memory cards. I think you can just copy those when ever you want to a usb or something like that for backup.

what emulator are you using?

pcsx2 works great
also retroarch

if you have the game saves on ps2 cards, there are ways to pull them and use them with pcsx2
