[Help] Built-in bluetooth device not working
I have a TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (WI-FI). It has built in bluetooth. So far, ever since I had this PC, bluetooth worked just fine. I always played with a bluetooth connected Xbox One controller (always the same 2) whenever I used a controller.

I was playing a steam game with my controller, and it suddenly disconnected. Device manager had my Bluetooth settings hidden and when I right-click the bluetooth device in it, it only lets me uninstall it or update it (it should also let me disable it). Update does nothing, drivers are up to date. Windows troubleshoot says that my device has no bluetooth. Ofcourse in the normal settings tab, there is no toggle for turning bluetooth on or off.

In control panel, when I go into devices and printers, right click my desktop, go into bluetooth settings, allow the desktop to be discovered by bluetooth devices, it says that the bluetooth device is unplugged which is once again not possible.

I have not touched any sort of setting on computer. In the last couple days I have been using a controller a lot and today when I was in a cutscene (so literally not even touching the controller) it suddenly disconnected. I dont really know what else to do at this point, any ideas are welcome

Go into your "Airplane Mode" thing and see if there is a bluetooth setting there?

If you look into the services.msc, do you see any bluetooth services that are not running?

I see the Bluetooth Auto Gateway Service and the Bluetooth Support service. Both are automatic startup and are running. Nothing else with bluetooth in its name
When you checked the bluetooth device in device manager did you actually go ahead and uninstall it so it could be re-installed or you didn't do that? I would give that a shot if you haven't done it.
I would restart my PC to see if it comes back. If not I would give the antenna a good inspection. See if a part is loose or broken. If the antenna inspection doesn't reveal anything I would look at the motherboard Bluetooth adapter itself to see if it came out of it's socket in some way or if a capacitor is leaking somewhere.
In Laptops usually the BT driver is part of the WIFI card. Go get the latest drivers for that from the laptop makers support site for your model of laptop. IDK why you are looking in Device Manager. That's not how you deal with any of that.

I have not done that yet, but I will do it when I will have the time. Based on your wording, do you mean that it would install automatically if it was to be deleted? Afaik it needs a manual install

I have tried restarting. I have however not yet looked at the antenna specifically, good idea. Not sure why it would brake entirerly randomly tho

My PC is not a laptop, thats the first problem. Second is that I have updated all drivers like I said. Third is that all guides I looked at said to use the device manager, which would normally be a good idea, because it can update, enable/disable or uninstall drivers (which may be my issue)
Well this is a shot in the dark and only works sometimes. Are you running Windows 10? If so, open Control Panel and click on "Troubleshooting." Then run the Bluetooth troubleshooter. Sometimes this helps, sometimes it doesn't. Try it though.

The MSDT collection is deprecated in Windows 11, however but it may still work there, esp if you haven't updated to latest build yet.
Updated the drivers from where exactly?

Yes I would hope you're on Win10 22H2 and not Win11

Sorry though I was tired and saw ASUS TUF and didn't realize it was a AM4 Motherboard.

I am on win 10. I updated the drivers from the normal windows updater and from the device manager
