Actually, an RX 6750 XT 12GB can be had for less than the RTX 3060, and it's faster as well. Just google RTX 3060 vs RX 6700 XT or RX 6750 XT
What graphics card can do 4k?
3060 Ti is a good step above any non-Ti 3060 for only a few $ more. Well worth it if you can't find 3070 Ti or better at a reasonable price. Like back during the Black November sales, Amazon and Newegg had Zotac 3070 Ti on sale for 599$USD
As for the AMD cards, the RX 6700 XT/6750XT are pure rasterize gaming beasts, plus extra VRAM (8GB on nVidia vs 12GB on AMD) which seems to be becoming a factor with certain games. The RX 6700 XT/6750 XT easily outpaces the RTX 3060 in rasterize gaming....
Here's A vid of a comparison between the RTX 3060 and the RX 6700 XT (the RX 6750 XT is a tad faster than it)

But what most people forget it ain't just the gpu. It's the board, the cpu and the ram, which also counts.
Well no, if you have 60Hz you never go above 60 fps either. As the extra frames get dumped. Higher fps might feel a little smoother but that depends on the game and also it's a brain trick that occurs between your screen and how your brain processes what your eyes see.
