take the gpu out, remove the fan adn cut its shroud
use zipties to hold a case fan to the cooler, plug it into a free spot on the board, and set bios to control its speed from cpu or case temp
they are custom to their cooler
Hence why I said they can get replacements
They usually have plenty of junk spare parts laying around, including fans and connectors of various sizes.
open the software for AMD, goto performance, then goto tuning, this "tuning" section is for fan control settings, you can set the speed and tempature graph, so the hotter it gets the faster the fan runs, often you will hear the fan spin up faster when turning on or shutting down the pc.
use manual setting you can use the graph to adjust the fan control
make sure fan tuning is enabled
mine runs at about 900 rpms and non gaming temp of 29.C
this increases as games are played.
But if you can manage gpu fan settings within the Radeon GPU software, please look into that.
sorry but that is a horrible suggestion, why would you suggest someone destroy their gpu to ziptie a case fan on it....
you can buy almost anything second hand, tons of people part out broken hardware and sell the working parts.... heck there are shops that do that as well.
pretty sure some of them are new and sold as "replacement kits".
also it would make zero sense to sell $600+ gpus with non replaceable fans or shrouds for that matter.
amazon, newegg, ebay, walmart, ect... ect... a simple google would have shown you this.
ziptie is not destroying anything other than the fan shroud, a working fan is better than no fan or stopped fan
cause they all dont die immediately.... and like mentioned you can buy used replacements for quite cheap, or even better new replacement fan kits can be bought as well...
that being said, anyone who values the money they work for isnt going to destroy part of their $600+ gpu and ziptie a freaking case fan to it....
