Well, yeah but first off downloading DRM'd stuff to playback is usually not worth doing it because of the DRM and if it was truly high quality video then you'd have to actually download a huge file first before you start watching it which I have to admit is kind of offputting because a lot of times with video available online I am just looking for a piece of watch a little bit or something like that, I'm not always prepared to spend an entire hour and half to watch a full movie so downloading t he full movie for a piece kind of sucks besides one of the thing so streaming video is that you can access it from anywhere so if you're at work you can continue watching a piece where you left off at home. With downloaded video that's not going to happen.
Just for clarity and reduce a chance of misinterpretation I didn't mean like watching a movie while you're supposed to be working, I meant like on break/lunch or being anywhere maybe waiting for your tires to get changed or something.
People already do that for every video game on Steam, and some of the more modern games are probably considerably larger downloads than a movie would be.
Probably equivalent to 4k remuxes, or a bit bigger but it's not night and day difference. If you're talking about a triple A game that just got released, then yeah they are like 70 GB. So you're telilng me you'd like to download a full remux 4k iso or whatever before you get to play it back every time you want to watch a piece of a movie?
