Monitor doesn't display image with DP.
Hi, my monitor stopped displaying image when it's plugged in with Display Port, although runs fine with HDMI; I don't know how to fix this, I've tried rolling back and updating nvidia drivers, reinstalled monitor drivers, I've bought new DP cable but it changed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing.

Could this be the port itself on the monitor or gpu that's not working?

Does your PC have an iGPU with a DisplayPort to test if it's the videocard?
If the monitor still has a warranty you could probably return it and ask for a new one, but first check if the problem is really in your monitor and not a dead GPU DisplayPort. Try to plug the monitor in a different PC or GPU if you have one and see if it works
Your graphic card probably needs a firmware update. Mine needed one to see the bios with display port. I could only see the bios with HDMI and dvi.

I downloaded Nvidia's display id updater and it updated my GTX 1070 firmware. Now I can see my bios screen via display port.

firmware on gpus is specific for each gpu, do not flash a gpu unless you are 100000% sure its the correct version for that specific brand/model/variant/pcb version gpu

do you have more than 1 display plugged in?
some will only display bios on the first it sees, if thats a tv thats off, then you will not see anything
Monitor have an input select option in it's menu?
Did you actually switch the input button on the Display in order to switch to DP?

What GPU is it?
Do you have another DP Cable to test with?

GPU drivers don't have anything to do with it.
Monitors don't have special Drivers. They generally all use the same generic plug and play OS driver.

Could be that the DP on the Monitor or GPU is dead. Your GPU should have 3x DP ports so try a different one.

One way to try is leave the HDMI connected since this is working. Connect DP cable between Display and GPU at the same time. Go into Windows where you can force detect another screen. If it comes up, the DP is working fine. Then once active, switch the Display input from HDMI to DP is verify the image

and dont use more than 1 cable from the pc to each display

and double check the input, most monitors will switch automatically to the input its getting a signal from (cec signal)
Most Monitors you don't have to rely on Auto, just manually press the Input button to switch between all of the ports on your Display let go when reach the desired one.

You CAN hookup both HDMI and DP at the same time to the same PC. How else are you going to test easily? Turning the PC off to do it is the old way and only needs to be done for analog connections

if you hook up both, windows will see 2 displays, with multimon setup it will expand desktop to the new one

and some gpu bios will only show to one, not both

Thats exactly what I want him to do in order to double check that the DP is working or not. As your GPU should have 3x DP and 1x HDMI, so if the HDMI is working, use my method in order to check each DP port on the GPU one at a time. It doesn't matter that Windows will see 2 Displays this way, just set it to Duplicate while on HDMI, then on your physical Display, press the button to switch Inputs from HDMI to DP and see if it has an image or not. If it does this where there is no image at all across all 3x DP on your GPU then either its the DP on the Monitor or your DP Cable. If it's only 1x DP on the GPU, then obviously that DP port is dead on the GPU if this works on other DP ports.

SOLVED, my GPU IS DYING :D
Red artifacts are randomly appearing on the screen mainly while playing games or videos.

Time to bake the video card. It's a tried and true method, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

never bake, take it to a repair shop that can reflow it properly
