It won't melt and it won't cost $10,000 and it will be 90% of the 4090 performance at worst.
I'm not really a fan of AMD hardware, but lately I'm considering it. Thanks for the answer.
Have a look at GamersNexus video on this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig2px7ofKhQ
Thanks for the video and the info. In this case, I've been told to not to use the cable that comes with the GPU, is there a brand o a specific cable that you can recommend me?
Edit: I think that the cablemod ones are the best for this.
Hey, don't be like that, I asked a question, nothing more. No need to be rude.
And I didn't say that your option is not good. I've been thinking of getting an AMD this gen.
And I'm not a fanboy of Nvidia, lately, I've run into a lot of problems related to the drivers and I'm really tired of it.
First I want to see benchmarks. Probably it would be a very good GPU, but having proofs of it would be nice. And thank you for the advise.
But yea can wait for bench marks before biting the bullet, and yeah I don't trust Nvidia 12 pin connector as of late seeing recurring event keep happening. Not sure why couldn't just make a thicker, and more sturdier pin connector, I mean they're cramming so much into thin single cable which I can't blame why others don't feel too comfortable compare to standard PCI e cables.
The 4080 has a special adaptor too. They are also considered to be extremely poor value for money.
So far they are better BUT and I can't stress this enough they aren't much of an upgrade because of the price. getting
25% improvement for 25% higher price/50% improvement for 50% higher price
is just 1 to 1. Before when you upgraded you got 25% improvement for around the same price thus more for your money making it worthwhile.
Bottom line is unless you absolutely need the performance and can afford it you money is better spent elsewhere
Yup, I totally agree with that. I want to see those benchs, surely it would be a good gpu!
I don't trust use the default cable, reddit is full o people complaining about it.
These days I'll think about it. I'm not in love with any specific branch. Maybe it's time to try AMD, but still I'm doubtful.
For my tips i reccomend to buy first a case atx extended, if you not have, and also a cable original from psu if have for sale on official site.
Got it! Thank you.
