and for the record the 8350 does not bottleneck a gtx 970.. i run 8320@4ghz 970 g1 gaming and i havent run into any newer games that create a bottleneck (gtav, fallout 4,dying light etc.) all run ultra no issues 1080p
(You are also playing with the framerate locked at 60 if you had a better monitor that could output a better framerate you'd see the 8350 could barely handle them also I doubt your get a stable 60 fps in Fallout 4 in the city at ultra even my 4690k at 4.3ghz and 2 970s get fps drops below 70 even 60 at times
i never said 1080p was 1440p i was saying it plays more demanding games at 1080p with 970 because you stated the gtx 970 was bottlenecked by 8350.. but your just twisting my words here
Yeah. The only monitor I have capable of 1440p is my 4K gsync Acer XB280HK. Mind you I get 170fps average on the source games ( at 4K ) and mid / high details on BF HL at 4K.
I know playing at 4K is not the same as recording at 1440p but I cant imagine the fps drop would be too much more.
I will be testing it tonight when I actually finish work and will try update this thread.
