Rock candy xbox one controller not working

I am havfing a hard time getting this controller to work on my PC, I just bought one today and I forgot that I had the same problem before but maybe there is a solution now that time has passed but I have tried installing the drivers and such and Im having no luck has anyone been successful in getting one to work with PC?

I thank you for taking interest in helping with my issue. I wish the problem were that simple as I am using a wired rocked candy xbox one controller. With the xbox360 rock candy controller it was as simple as plugging it in and playing but I imagine I have to do some tinkering to get this to work either that or take it back, unfortunately for me I bought it used so I do not know if they will allow me to return it.

start -> run/search -> joy.cpl
see if the controller is showing up

if you have others, slick advanced, and set the xbox to perferred

I think its got something to do with the drivers, I ddi what you said but It does not detect the controller, when I did try to change the driver I get an error message code 37

Don't buy those brand; it is junk.
Buy an official Microsoft one.
If you want wired then buy "Xbox360 Wired" or buy "XboxOne Wireless" + "USB to MicroUSB cable"

Ha you are right I ended up returning it and got myself a steam controller, couldnt be more satisfied. thanks everyone
